The project “My Place” was a project launched and supported by the EU-Commission, the European Forum for Freedom in Education (effe) and the University of Education in Heidelberg.

2009 was the year of creativity and innovation! As students of the Pädagogische Hochschule Heidelberg we wanted to promote creativity by means of new media. The idea of the project was to create a map of Europe, composed of photos taken by participants all over Europe. The participants had the task to take photos of single-colour objects in their environment with a mobile phone or a digital camera. The pictures should be competely filled with this colour (extremely “close up”). The participation was not limited to a certain age.

The pictures were then converted in order to create a huge mosaic of all the photos. The map is available to download on http://myplace2009.net/de_download.html. With pleasure we will send you the map and a gallery of the pictures on compact disc and a poster.
