With the ”Atlas of Human Rights to Education and Freedom of Schooling in Europe“ of 2003 the effe wanted to contribute to a debate on the education systems of as many countries in Europe as possible.
The Atlas was to serve as a means of making a wider public in Europe aware of the importance of the human right to education and freedom of schooling as well as the rights of children. It could serve as a help to politicians, parents, teachers, and other people committed to human rights in education and freedom of schooling.
The effe is working on an update of this Atlas: "The Atlas on Freedom in Education". It is a "work-in-progress" and the country reports will be published one at the time on this website. Have a look at the concept.
